The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Government of the Ministry of Railways, have released a centralized Employment Notification for the position of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) to fill 5696 vacancies across India. Indian citizens who have successfully completed a minimum of Matriculation and ITI are eligible to apply for Assistant Loco Pilot positions.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 30 years
Age limit as on 1st July 2024
The Upper Age relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC (NCL) and others as per rules.
Educational Qualifications:
(1) Candidates must have either Matriculation/ SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the following trades: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. Alternatively, Matriculation/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the mentioned trades is also accepted.
(2) Another option is Matriculation/SSLC plus a three-year Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering, or a combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in lieu of ITI.
(3) Note: A degree in the mentioned Engineering disciplines will also be acceptable in lieu of a Diploma in Engineering.

HOW TO APPLY AND WHAT KIND OF DEEDS TO BE REQUIRED
- Eligible candidates can apply to only one Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), and only one online application has to be submitted. Candidates must first ‘Create an Account’ for this CEN through the link given on the Official RRB Website.
- The Candidates must have an active personal mobile number and a valid email ID for receiving OTPs for Account Verification and Creation. After creating an account, candidates should log in to apply for RRB ALP 2024 through any one of the RRB portals.
- The Candidates are mandatory to upload a scanned copy of a recent clear color passport-size photograph, signature, SC/ST certificate, etc. Afterward, candidates must pay the application fee through online mode.
- After the final submission of the online application, candidates can edit or correct their details during the Modification Window from 20/02/2024 to 29/02/2024.
- The closing date for the submission of the online application is 19/02/2024 (Monday) up to 23:59 hours
